It is often said that late is better than never, especially for a President considered by her critics as passive when it comes to effecting decisions against members of his kitchen cabinets considered as morally inept, financially corruptible and administratively malfeasance. Equitability of this
analogy befits no other than Mr. Harry Greeive, Managing Director of the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company (LPRC), who was  unceremoniously dismissed by President Sirleaf, in the wake of the see saw battle regarding a contractual agreement to revamp the entity complex, a decision long overdue despite tangle reasons for culpability in malpractices. Pres. Sirleaf’s Apology to the Muslim Community is only the beginning and not the end

Few days ago, we were awakened by the news that Muslims brothers in Monrovia, Liberia had been attacked by the ruthless city Mayor of Monrovia Mary Broh and her gangster supporters. Twenty four hours later, we received report that the president has dissolved the so-called task force headed by Ms.Broh
in an attempt to cover her outrageous behavior. After increased pressure from the Muslim community, the President along with Ms. Broh made an appearance to the community mosque to extend an apology. While this is the right step, we believe this is the beginning and not the end.(Read more..)

Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has expressed regrets over an incident Saturday when personnel of the Monrovia City Corporation, acting under the umbrella of the Special Presidential Task Force, in a routine clean up exercise, raided areas along the Benson street mosque.
Despite the President's apology, Muslims at the Mosque where the weekend incident occurred are demanding that Broh herself apologize for the incident which took place during the observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan. (Read more...)
